Who we are

ClipSmith is a private AI video production tool operated by a single operator. It helps you plan, generate, and publish short video content to platforms you connect (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X). This policy explains what we store, why, and for how long.

What we collect

  • Account data: email address and authentication identifiers used to sign you into ClipSmith.
  • Connected-platform tokens: OAuth access and refresh tokens you grant when you connect Google/YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, or other supported platforms. Stored encrypted; used only to publish or read on your behalf.
  • Platform metadata: the page, channel, or profile ID you authorized us to publish to, plus the title, view counts, and engagement metrics of posts ClipSmith published, so we can show analytics.
  • Content you create: scripts, prompts, generated images, voice-overs, and rendered videos.
  • Operational logs: minimal request and error logs for debugging.

How we use it

  • To render and store the videos you create.
  • To publish content to the platforms you explicitly connect, at the times you schedule.
  • To show you analytics (views, watch time, engagement) for content ClipSmith published on your behalf.
  • To diagnose errors and improve reliability.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your content or connected-platform data to train AI models.

Third parties we use

  • Supabase (via Lovable Cloud) — database, auth, and file storage.
  • Meta (Facebook & Instagram Graph API) — publishing and reading metrics for Pages and IG Business accounts you connect.
  • Google / YouTube Data API — publishing and reading metrics for YouTube channels you connect.
  • ElevenLabs — text-to-speech voice generation.
  • AWS (Remotion Lambda + S3) — video rendering and intermediate asset storage.
  • Google / OpenAI (via Lovable AI Gateway) — language and image model inference.

Each provider processes data under its own terms; we only send what's needed for the requested operation.

Data retention

We keep your account data and connected-platform tokens for as long as your account is active. Generated content is retained until you delete it. You can disconnect any platform at any time from the Network page, which revokes the stored token.

Your rights

You can request a copy or full deletion of your data at any time. To do so, contact us using the email below. We will action deletion requests within 30 days.
